Quebec Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR) Program
Origin Sperm Bank is proud to support the Province of Quebec’s Medically Assisted Reproduction (MAR) program, which provides reimbursement for donor sperm where eligibility criteria is met for Quebec residents.
Our goal is to make donor sperm ordering and reimbursement as easy as possible. Please place your order well in advance of your treatment date. Orders placed less than 10 Business Days prior to your treatment may not be fulfilled in time.
If you are a resident of a Canadian province other than Quebec, please seek guidance from your assisted reproduction practitioner or provincial Ministry of Health for information on publicly funded treatments.
After you have selected your donor, use the online order form to select your clinic.Ensure you select one that indicates “MAR/PMA” to be sure it qualifies for reimbursement.
- Be sure to select “Order Vials to Ship”
- If your procedure is an Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), select “Washed or Un-Washed” for Vial Type
- If your procedure is an IVF, you can select any vial type (Washed, Un-Washed, IVF-ICSI) of the available options
- Only one vial is permitted (any order for more than one vial is automatically cancelled)
When Origin receives your order, we will confirm with your clinic that you’re eligible for MAR coverage. Once confirmation from your clinic is provided, we will confirm your order for shipping.
If you are ordering through a Québec fertility clinic, select your clinic from the MAR/PMA drop-down menu. This automatically lets you use the RAMQ program, which covers a large part of the vial and shipping costs.
If you do not want to use the RAMQ program, click here to place your order directly and pay the full amount.
How the RAMQ program works:
- Only one vial can ship at a time under the program.
- RAMQ covers up to $850 for the donor semen vial and $100 for shipping. You pay any remaining balance.
- We must confirm your eligibility directly with your clinic before we can ship.
- We cannot confirm the shipping date until we receive confirmation from your clinic. Delays may happen and are beyond our control.
